Terms and conditions A competent person shall be provided by the customer to meet the test technician, advise on the layout of the premises and ensure the availability of appliances for inspection and testing Appliances that are not made available or are inaccessible cannot be tested and will not be allocated an Asset ID. Subsequent use of this equipment will be at risk. No liability shall be accepted for injury to persons or damage to premises resulting from the use of these appliances The customer shall ensure that critical information or data is protected/backed up prior to the start of inspection and testing Our Insurance provides cover for damage to customers equipment and Public Liability. No liability is accepted for business interruption, loss of data or business information, losses to business related services or loss to business profits Prices for 110v and 240v appliances are as shown on the McDonald Appliance Testing prices web page. Occasionally non standard situations give rise to a far greater degree of difficulty than normal e.g. were access is difficult. The right to charge a premium for non standard installations is reserved Where a 13A plug is found to be damaged a standard replacement may be fitted at no charge. If the number of damaged 13A plugs is excessive the right to charge for replacements is reserved Prices shown are for appliance testing and inspection only. Repairs are charged at the agreed rate whether undertaken on or off the customer premises Work shall be carried out according to the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment by technicians who are are qualified to City and Guilds standard for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment Payment for services provided shall be made within 28 days of receipt of the invoice |
